Headache today

I’ve had a headache all day today. Probably from sleeping too much and not keeping a balanced diet. I missed coffee this morning which may contribute to the problem. I haven’t had a headache like this for a while nor have I slept so much either.

Dinner

Had dinner with Faisal and his family today. His family consists of his EIDE, Kate, and his two sons, Dillon and Tobias(?). Dillon is 4 and the younger one is only 2 1/2 months, hence the difficulty with the name. Dillon is a good natured, inquisitive boy who likes to chat it up with anyone. Kate’s also a friendly person who makes you feel welcomed to be at their home the instant you meet her. I didn’t get a chance to meet with them for long but I’m sure I could get along with them quite well.

So what about dinner? I had a very salty sndwich which I could not suggest anyone having. It came with fries and I got pineapple juice for a drink because that’s what Dillon had. I haven’t had pineapple juice at a restaurant in a long time. It was good so I had a second glass.

No breakfast today

I didn’t have breakfast today because I woke up at 11:00 this morning. The alarm went off at 7 but I just shut it off and went back to sleep. I feel a little out of it today. I took some Bonine for all the train riding I had to do yesterday so I think it’s what is causing my problems. I’m feeling a little dizzy which is one of the symptoms I get when taking notion sickness pills. Also, I as quite thirsty when I woke up. Drank lots of water at the restaurant. Hopefully that will cure his malaise.

Right now, I’m going to take a short nap.

Lunch

Had lunch with Faisal today. I haven’t seen him since college so it’s been a while. He’s now married with 2 kids so he’s all grown up.

We went to Matchbox which is a restaurant located in Chinatown. I’ve been wanting to eat there for a while so I was happy when he suggested it out of the blue. We shared these mini burgers that they have on the appetizer menu. Again, it was something I wanted to try so it worked out quite well. Once Jae got some mini burgers at a restaurant on Solano Ave in Berkeley. They weren’t burgers. These things were miniature burgers with Gouda cheese, a pickle and we had ketchup, mustard and mayo on the side. Meat was cooked medium which was just right. We ordered 6 burgers which came with fried onion strips. All the food was quite good except one of the buns I got was burned. Other than that, the food was fine.

The wait could have been shorter. We were told 15 minutes for a table but it was longer than that. Quite frankly, it wasn’t a big deal because I could spend time catching up with Faisal but in another setting it could very well have been upsetting.

I’m going to have dinner with Faisal and his family tonight over by where they live. I think he said Germantown.
